The Reverend Lara K-J- Campbell is the 26th minister of First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church and was called to be our minister in 2014. She believes strongly that Unitarian Universalism is a faith that can nurture spirits and help heal the world. Rev. Lara is passionate about supporting people in spiritual growth, celebrating joys, and comforting sorrows. She is committed to creating a just, diverse, spiritual, and compassionate community, packed with action. She has served the congregation and community with diligence, understanding, and a wonderful sense of humor. Rev. Lara is great fun to be with.

Rev. Lara is a fifth generation Unitarian, raised as a Unitarian Universalist in northern Minnesota. Adept at communicating on-line, Rev. Lara served The Church of the Larger Fellowship, an on-line UU church, for two years as minister. She also served her ministerial internship with the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Northern Westchester in Mt. Kisco, NY, and was co-ordained in 2014 by both of these Fellowships.

Rev. Lara is a trainer for Our Whole Lives (OWL) sexuality education. She teaches curricula for grades K-1, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12 and serves as a consultant. She has led OWL classes and trainings in Kennebunk and elsewhere.

Rev. Lara and her husband, Jay Pacitti, live in Kennebunk with their dog, Maddy J. Beagle. Together they have rolled up their sleeves and renovated their home. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, knitting, walking around town, catching up on a few TV shows, and listening to the ocean waves.
