Religious Education (RE)

Virtual "RE Chapel" for families

First and third Thursdays from 6:30 to 7 pm (October 2020 – June 2021)

While the building is closed this year due to the pandemic, join Rev. Lara, Sally Keene, and Dan MacDonald on the first and third Thursdays of each month for a worship service that is specially designed for kids and families. During each service we will light our chalices, introduce or dive deeper into a topic, sing, and meditate.

Our RE Frequently Asked Questions page has more information about what happens on Sundays in the RE program. For more information about our current RE Chapel or if you're interested in registering, please contact us

Religious Education Classes

Ordinarily, Religious Education classes for children (and nursery care for those under 4) are offered throughout the church year during Sunday Worship Services at 10:30 a.m.

Whether in meeting rooms, in the Chapel, or on field trips, our Director of Religious Education and dedicated volunteers provide children ages 3-18 with a balanced program in which adults, children, and youth learn from each other. This program integrates education, music, ritual, philosophical discussion, social outreach, community building opportunities, and fun in a caring and nurturing environment.

Children often attend the beginning or ending of services in the Sanctuary. They may choose to remain there during the entire service.

Every year except 2020, we have a full pageant where congregants and children produce a play from a religious theme.
