A Lament for Our Times

Sermon Date:
Sunday, June 7, 2020

This was a special Sunday of service orchestrated by our minister and two of our staff members in portraying their feelings from story and reflection with our world situation. It begins with a story called "The Rabbit Listened" by Cori Doerrfield, narrated by Emily C. Jones (RE Director), and intertwined in the service. The Reverend Lara K-J Campbell gave her reflection followed by the virtual choir and friends singing the song "I Believe" written by Mark A. Miller, followed by a second reflection by Molly Petrik (Music Director), ending with a moment of silence. We share two links from this service; the first is the video of the choir singing "I Believe", and the second is the moving song mentioned in Molly's reflection called "I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free" by Nina Simone.
