Building Bridges with Law Enforcement

This service was lay led by Merideth Norris who brought to us a great guest, Rhonda L. McKitten, Esq, that focused the work around bringing communities working with their Law Enforcers to enhance trust both ways especially with children. Our own police Chief Robert MacKensie was present to hear her reflections and chat with many of us at coffee hour. We were honored by both of their presence and wonderful efforts in the community.

This service was led by our distinguished guest and member Paul Beach. He began the service with excerpts from a poem called Upstream by Mary Oliver followed by an exercise for all on UU principles and COVID-19. This was followed by two poems, Six Feet Apart and The Phoenix authored and read by Helen Rousseau. Paul completed this beautiful service with reflections on a positive note.

Bending Towards Justice

Something about Mary

This service was on Zoom and it was extra special to see a 100 people all gathered in one session and lighting their own candles in darkened rooms. The reverend Lara K-J Campbell gave a reflection on Mary that led us to ponder how she was much more than just a symbol mentioned each Christmas.
